Post Reunion - four months?

Hey, it has been several months since our big reunion, and I am finding that I have missed reconnecting with everyone. How about you? I have a friend from a little town in Oklahoma, where they have a town reunion every year, which kinda seems like a fun idea!

If any of you guys is going to be in Tyler, I would sure like to know about it! Maybe we can grab lunch or dinner!

Post Reunion Blues

Hey gang,

Just decided to start this blog, just two days after we all left the reunion and wanted to say "Thanks " to everyone who worked so hard on it. I understand the terrific effort it took and don't want anyone to feel unappreciated!

The purpose of this blog is to help us communicate and foster a higher level of connection. We have been so busy with our lives and families, but this weekend convinced me that our classmates, too, are essentially family as well. And we need to know what is happening, if someone is sick or needs help, well, a blog and people's comments on a blog are a great way of getting that information. (I think Virginia Farley is having back surgery this morning, in fact.)

I have been thinking about why it was so much fun for me, and I am certain that part of the enjoyment is that with your classmates, you are never truly a grownup, and you realize the hopelessness of trying to act that way. That doesn't happen very often with other friends and connections you make, and it is a very relaxed and comfortable position in which to be.

In any case, what I want to do is to start this and get as many comments as possible in as far as connecting with folks in our class as much as possible or practical. I know we can do better than we have the last 45 years!

So, what I want you guys to do is to comment on this blog and let me know what things we ought to explore within this medium. I know that our class has had a wonderful set of experiences- from summer months in France, to kids in foreign countries, making wine, - the list is truly endless, and why not put ourselves out there to help each other? My curiousity about many of these things is great.
